I have to admit that our meeting Friday night took me by surprise. I didn't know what to expect, I never knew what Second Life was before this class. It is the most crazy bizarre experience! I did the tutorial when I joined but I feel like I need to do more to understand what to do. My husband walked in and thought I was playing a game... I said I was in class!
My person, Brooke Silvershade kinda walked around confused. I didn't really get what she needed to do, but the meeting helped tremendously and it was nice to hear all of the classmates talk! I did get to try and fly and that was my favorite part.
We got to go to meetVon Fosse on Friday night as well. She had a couple of dogs that I tried to pet but do not know if I really did or not. It was really cool for all of us to meet and discuss the class like we were really in a classroom. Von actually said she was a widow but had a partner on SL, does that mean people meet on this as well and date? I really didn't understand that part.
I went on yesterday and tried to change my clothes, it said she didn't have a skirt on but the picture showed that she waas still wearing it. How ugly! Anyway, i tried to go in and make her look more like me, I put her in a pair of jeans and a black top, what I wear all the time! D.I. I tried to add you as a friend but do not know if it worked.
I look forward to learning more about this major advanced web tool, I cannot wait to feel like me and the virtual Brooke know what we are doing!

You should be able to just click on the communicate/chat button (lower-left) and see if Icabad Vallejo is on the list. If not, add me. I suspect we did this together in the meeting- I think you were there!
I think it is interesting that you refer to your avatar as "her/she" rather than "I/me"...
